Gisolt #3 Bench Metal Lathe

could someone tell me the specks on a gisholt model #3 metal bench lathe ? are they ackward and to heavy for general agriculture maching & threading ?

You're right! That is a big sucker. I'd say more for production than everyday repairs on your farm, but it would definately get the job done. Did you see it at an auction or something?

OMG I operated one of these In my distant youth. They are classed as a turret lathe and were the primary machines for mass production of big cylindrical parts before the advent of CNC lathes. They are defiantly not recommended for a one time only job. Look at the power requirements. The tooling and set up time will kill you.
