Autoclave Engineer Threads

09/27/2010 11:01 AM

Howdy everyone. I've been killing myself trying to find dimensions for 1" medium pressure box threads from autoclave. I've even been in contact with Autoclave Engineers with little luck. Can anyone here point me in the direction to finding these specs or maybe what spec I might need to purchase to fine them please? I know they are out there as I know of atleast a few machine shops that cut them. I've been beating my head up against a wall and its starting to hurt..... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Please use a micrometer to measure the outside of the thread, ( is it tapered? ) and a thread gauge to measure the pitch and i will give you the answers you seek.

I actually just found the dimensions for the threads! They were in the back of the product manual! Go figure....The threads were 1-3/8-12 but the tricky part was the rest of the thread profile. There are small angles at the bottom of the hole for special plugs and seats to fit into that I also needed. Just in case anyone is curious here is the info I needed as well as info on their other threads: http://www.autoclave.com/aefc_pdfs/vftcc_english.pdf Mine was found on page 16 under "AE Medium Pressure SFCX" Thanks for the reply though Jim.
