IGC (Integranular Corrosion) Test

hi all

i have stainless steels for material is 304,304L,316,316L CF3, CF3M, CF8, CF8C, CF8M etc. i also know that stainless steel's IGC test is ASTM A262 PRACTICE A~E. but i want to know How to choose something out of five test method (PRACTICE A~E) for 304,304L,316,316L CF3, CF3M, CF8, CF8C, CF8M etc.

Easy first you have to check what kind of Stainless steel you have and then you pick the methode.

ASTM is designed for testing but you have to know what you want to test.

Sorry but that is the way it is set up. For every product there are methodes but you have to now your product

Sorry.

Corrective material's name is ASTM A743 GR CF3, CF3M, CF8,CF8M and ASTM A240 TYPE 304,304L,316,316L
