09/29/2010 4:59 AM

Hi all, how to find the location of the centre of gravity on a transformer when the weight and dimensions are known? Thank you all in advance.

Search and study the topic in some standard mathematic book. What you want to do lift the transformer with a swing axle?

As a standard practice transformer manufacturers engrave the COG mark (x-lines in a circle) for ready reference, all you need is to carefully check the transformer as well as the equipment manual (chapter Loadind and Unloading at site).

It is also usually shown on the transformer's physical / dimension drawings.
