Change from Center Position Float hdr. Valve?

09/29/2010 2:08 PM

I have a purchased a block of 6 hydraulic valves for a backhoe not knowing that they float in the center position. I was wondering if there were some way of altering them without new spools so they do not float in center position. Intertech valve made in UK supposedly from some type of military application.

You will have to go back to the valve manufacturer for a reliable result. They may or may not be interested.

Good Luck

PS If you can get the hydraulic circuit diagram for the valve you may see some options.

A solution is to use for each connection a double piloted check valve. The function will depend on the way the flow control is used since the pilot of one valve reacts to the pressure in the other connection.
