Bakelite Quality Tests?

I don'y know about any test for uncured processes except visible inspection and monitoring of temperature.

Prior to curing, a sample of the coated sheet would be periodically cut from the paper roll after it had been coated with resin and massed (weighed) to insure that the correct amount of resin was applied to the sample.

We punched out a round hole in the sheet so that a uniform size could be taken for the test sample.
