Resistance Spot Welding Machines

09/30/2010 11:33 AM

Resistance spot welding machines are applicable to low carbon steel welding. It is suggested they must be used within their rated capacity of total thickness of material for best results. They should not be used over the duty cycle [ standard rating by RWMA is 50% duty cycle], since they will damage the contractors and transformers.

My question is how contractors and transformers are damaged and what does RWMA stands for?
