10/01/2010 11:53 AM

As we know that for starting or stopping the HT motors the command will always go from the PLC Could anyone please explain what type of relay contact should be in the PLC for sending the signal? And please do let me know that whether the continuous signal goes or a pulse?

hi..

For HT Switchgears the command from PLC will be a pulse. All the relay contacts both START & STOP has to be separate and they need to be potential free Normally Open. The control supply from HT switchgear will have to be closed through the relay contact for START/STOP.
