hi all,

would you please help me to find a simple schamatic diagram for automatic voltage regulator of ac generators 220v/380v, single or three phase generators.

realy appreciated

Can i drive this generator via AC 220V/50HZ motor to get 230V 3 phase source ?

Thanks for help

If the driver motor is a synchronous type, you should be able to generate 50 Hz 3 phase power. Non-synchronous motors would slow down under load, so the output frequency would also be reduced - not a good thing at all.

From what I can see in one of the field excitation regulator products listed by msamad, it doesn't really care what the prime mover is as long as it turns at the right speed to generate the frequency for which it is set.

Thanks for explanation,so now if i use a single phase synchronous motor as a prime drive , what should be its speed ?

Speed(RPM) = 60*f/(P/2), where f = output frequency and P = number of exciter poles in the generator. If your generator has only 2 poles, you would need to spin it at 3000 RPM to get 50 Hz. The rated speed is probably marked on the generator's nameplate.

I think that is a secret of the company producing it and they don't release the schematic for public.

Find a friend working with the company producing the AVR board ,then you can get the schematic from him in a secret way, that is the only way to get the schematic.

Why you want to reproduce the others design, design your own board ,don't copy the others design.
