I am into Self Adhesive Foam parts business in India.
In certain segments, my foams are used to wrap around wire bunches. In this wrap around, the self adhesive side comes in contact with non - adhesive side. It should stick properly and not come off.
For some time it sticks well (say half hour to one hour). Then slowly it starts unwrapping. In this unwrap the adhesive remains where it was (that is, it is not left back, and comes off along with the substrate it was coated on).
I have tried quite a few types, fro India to Italy to USA, but nothing succeeds. I do get partial success by blending a couple of chemicals in certain grades, but the blend is environment sensitive. One blend works well in winter but opens in humid or summer seasons. The other blend works in dry summer but not in winter or rainy season. Similarly, the one which works well in rainy season does not work in dry summer or dry winter !
That means, these blends are both temperature sensitive as well as humidity sensitive.
