LLDPE Flakes Generation (High Scrap Generation)

We are processing LLDPE and we generate what is called flakes. These flakes are classified by screener and collected in external bag. The quantity of these flakes is very high.

What are the possible causes for this flakes generation. Our reactor is fluidized bed reactor and purge bin supplied with steam to deactivate residual catalyst. Then classifier to separate over size PE from prime product.

Dear Fahad, Can you tell me that you are PE compounder or producing PE resin by polymerization reactor??
