Application of Extended Diaphragm Seal

I am new in instrumentation, and i have a question, please anybody tell me the application of extended diaphragm seal in process, while we can measure the pressure through flush diaphragm type seal.?

Is the gauge spaced off the process line by insulation, perhaps?

Dear Raees,

If your process is abrassive, corrosive and non-sticky then you can use the flush diaphragm as it will not chock the nozzle on the tank. But if the process is abrassive,corrosive and sticky in nature and can cause you tank nozzle to chock then we will use extended diaphragm. Hope this clears.
