Painted Pipe vs. Galvainized Pipe in Hydrocarbon Gas (Inert)

10/07/2010 5:35 AM

Dear all

I have question about galvanized pipe corrosion in oil and gas industry such as hydrocarbon gas dissolved CO2, H2S and SO2 from crude oil.

This pipe is 50A carbon steel and it is very difficult to paint inside.

I want to know the corrosion effect of hot-dip galvanized pipe vs. painted carbon steel in gas with small quantity of CO2, H2S from crude oil.

what about technical comparison betwen internal painting & galvanizing?

Thanks for the answer.

Thinks:
Welding galvanised pipe?

Painting inside welded pipe?

That will never do....
