Mobile Cooling Water Tower

10/10/2010 12:49 AM

Does anyone know of a company that can supply a flatbed mobile cooling water tower?

We had one side of our two fan water tower self destruct the fan drive shaft. All parts were recieved from different vendors world wide but when put together it had severe vibrations. our maintenance shop using their infinate wisdom never look for the source of (root cause) of the destruction in the first place. we now have a 6-8 week repair time for the structure and cooling is very critical for bearing cooling on our 765psia machines.

any help would be greatly appriciated.

Any company that could provide a cooling tower at all would almost surely ship it on a flatbed.... You might then need to rent the flatbed for a few days/weeks.

You may want to narrow down your search by giving some indication of where you are. Just a thought.

Dear Mr.AB Claw,

Reg the vibration problem and the effect there of, did your

maintenance depot have dynamically balanced the fan assembly ( impeller & shaft).

This will be of much help.

Check with AT&T at one of their corporate offices. They will know where you can get one. They had to get one in Jackson, MS when the city had problems with the water pipes last year. They had to keep their control networks cool.
