Is their any chart to find the bearing capacity according to the soil type?If we knoe the type of soil and MDD,how can we find the Bearing capacity? This is for existing soil for proposed roads....
Check out several US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Manuals (EM) for required tables....you can locate them online and they're free to copy. They are a rough guideline only and not meant as a substitution for actual soils testing and analysis....no soil is quite homogeneous not is it equal to any other soil....all have differing properties due a whole host of environmental and geological factors.
Best way to determine in-situ soil bearing capacities for road construction is to perform in-field soil borings along the proposed road route and conduct tests on those soil samples (from the borings) in a certified soil testing and analysis laboratory. I strongly recommend that you hire a qualified soils engineer with a Professional Engineer's license before going Willy nilly through the jungle/bush/forest/plains or what have you building a road/highway because otherwise you'd be wasting the client's or your own $$$$ in the process.
