Decibel. Measure of sound pressure.

Not sure rule 75 applies. There are two sentences; brief each, but two.

Did you know that the dB was invented by Bell Labs scientists as a way to handle huge numbers encountered in acoustics research? Tell that to your teacher.

Rule #75 and homework, too.

Sad, sad, sad. Can't anybody do their own work anymore???

dB is the unit of sound.it is nothing but a power gain and when we take log to the base 10 of power gain it is coming in bel but bel is very small unit,so it is multipied with 10 and then the unit is decibel(dB)

dB means disibles which is used to reduce huge number using logarithms like for power it is 20logP not for sure for volt it is 10logV so huge numbers would be reduced and u can easily switch between multiplication and addition (x , +) I hope it was helpful
