what is the differecnce between specific & cationic conductivity?

The specific conductance is the conductivity, which is the a measure of an electrolyte solution to conduct electricity.

Cation conductivity is the conductivity of water after it has been passed through a cation exchange resin. Measuring cation conductivity is a particularly useful tool for monitoring return condensate for low levels of contamination.
