what hp required to pull 5 ton of load . trolly having 125 mm dia. of wheel on a rail ?

5E-4 (ms^-1)/W or 2kW/(ms^-1) for steel wheels on steel rail.

With rubber tyres the value is about 5 to 10 x higher.

On railways, a "pinch bar" operated by a human being can be used to do this. Human beings are normally rated at less than 0.1Hp.
