API 610 – Type VS2 Pump

We are training modules developer. While on centrifugal pumps, I am not getting good example of API 610 – Type VS2 Pump.

The definition of VS2 is: Wet pit, vertically suspended single-casing volute pumps with discharge through the column.

Have any one come across this type? If yes, please suggest the manufacturer and/or their website wherein I could understand more of it constructional features.

There are many - Dynapro, Sulzer, Goulds, Sundyne Marelli, Flowserve, David Brown etc etc etc..

Well, this pdf gives us good understanding, thanks.

But, normal 'turbine pump casings' are not volute in shape, right?

One seen in 'flowseve' catalog says: Twin-Volute Turbine Pumps. Some figures appear to be diverging section. Then why they call as 'turbine pumps'?
