We have one motor with the following plate data 25HP 3 phase, Frame-284TS, Type-P Design-B, Code-G, Insulation-F, Encl-TEFC, Cl1, Zon22, GP IIC, IIB, IIA, I3. A warning plate fixed to this motor ( This motor is not explosion proof or dust-igntion proof but suitable for using division 2 location provided the full requiement of the NEC(NEPA 70)and a local codes concerning peripheral equipment are met by user / installer. The user must insure that this motor is properly applied for rating. Code. B Cl.1 Div.2 GR.ABCD.

My question Can we use this motor in Clas 1. Div 2 Area?

This worries me!

You know the classification area the motor is required for. Does the available motor meet the requirement?

It's as simple as that!

We won't endorse your mistakes.
