Belt Scale Calibration Procedure

1- Adjust zero of the belt scale:

· Clean belt scale weighting system.

· Operate belt empty and adjust output zero setting to be 4 mA .

2- Adjust span of the belt scale:

· Carry the belt test weight from the cal. rod to weighting rod.

· Operate the belt with the test weight and adjust span.

· Operate this procedure from zero to span till the measuring is from 4- 20 mA adjusted.

3- Weight Check :

This is done if there is the possibility and the access to do this check :

· Fill the hopper by the desired material.

· Withdraw material until making the counter reading without fraction.

· Record this counter reading.

· Withdraw material until certain reading of the counter (such as 10 tons).

· Record this new counter reading.

· Check this weight actually by other balance scale.

· Account the error

error = actual weight - counter reading

After this weight check we can measure if this zero and span calibration is ok or we still have another difference.
