Variable current source for 0 to 10mA

11/11/2010 12:37 AM

I hadn't done any eletronic circuit before, I want to make a simple variable current source for 0 to 20mA to give input to our controller. Please help me with a detailed circuit as quick as possible.

There are off-the-shelf loop calibrating instruments that can do this.

Study ideal current source first.I doubt current source is used for any circuits. An ideal current source is a voltage source with high internal resistance so that the variation in its load has less/null effect on current source.
