Conveyor Belt

11/11/2010 2:12 AM

What is the difference between NN and EP belt??. We are having all belts with the EP construction if we want to go for NN belt since the cost of NN belt is less, then what are all the changes I have to do in my system and what will be drawback.

Up to my knowledge, I have seen most the pipe conveyor with EP construction. If it is so, what is the reason behind it?

The NN cloth backing is woven from nylon fibers. The EP from Polyester fibers and Nylon. The NN will stretch more. Nylon is more forgiving in applications where the belt takes a impact.
