Speedtronic Mark V Control Gastuabine

I do working at Can Tho Power Company of Vietnamese. Now I need help for you! We doing gasturbin control by mark V. It used software in dos ver 6.22 and computer very old.Now we cannot buy computer too. I want upgrade new software for used all computer(software+Hardware+installation costs)..... If we do to upgrade we need how many money(software+Hardware+installation costs)?Please help me. Thanks

I believe Speed Racer has the software for the Mark V.

If it used dos, it could be a normal desktop pc inside. You might be able to run a stock pc running windows xp. XP's compatiblity mode will run quite a few dos programs. If it has interface cards, the trick will be finding a main board that supports the connectors it has. ( no installation costs ) You just might get lucky.

1. Contact the Speedtronic Mark V Control Gastuabine manufacturer.

2. Provide them with the specifics of the computers you currently have in use.

They would be better suited to provide you with reliable information.

Check out this link at the Combined Cycle Journal. There is all kinds of links, contacts, and users groups all over the world that can help you.

As I remember, there were some hardware specifics in the version of DOS that GE used on the industrial computers used in Mark V systems. It was not Microsoft DOS. I think it was I-DOS or something like that. Back in the mid-90's I tried running the Mark V software in DOS and got some quirky results. Not what you want on your turbine controls.
