That depends on the battery chemistry.

For Lead Acid I'd say yes it's still pretty healthy. For most Lithium batteries I'd guess about half it's service life. For others ????

Any test of any battery or cell must have batt /cell fully charged- the majority of chargers over charge the batt/cell which heats up & reduces life- the best charger which I use for recharging wla, sla, gell I adapted from a 300w atx surplus computer power supply- basically extra resistors are added to 5v & 12v feedback to pin 1 TL494 or equiv to get chip PWM to output 14v &6v- constant voltage charge - a voltmeter & ammeter are added- the batt/cell stays cool- & full charge is obtained(when the ammeter drops to almost zero)- a visual indication as used in some batts is removed & used as portable hydrometer for each cell of wla batt- often there are 5 cells f/c & 1 under- can change electrolyte- usually it is end cell near neg post- to store fully charged wla batt- tip out electrolyte!- into bucket- will be sludgy- dry charge batt now will store for months- when ready to use batt add filtered orig electrolyte or new- will give extra years of life.

Do you mean to store a battery for long time you must remove the electrolyte from the battery ?

The electrolyte used in wet lead acid batts is sulphuric acid with added distilled water(or clean rain water at a pinch, or melted ice water from fridge) to obtain a specific gravity of 1.260 @ 20' C- use hydrometer to check.
