You use it instead of a battery. Just plug it in.

Next question..........................

We will see if our OP is as gracious here as in this thread.

Oh my. The OP claims to be an electrical design engineer, yet has no idea about electrical things? Something must be getting lost in the translation. Like, maybe his education?

I'm having trouble deciding what "powerpack" means if it's not a battery!

Maybe teen Super Heroes?

Way back, in my youth, it meant a 4 barrel carb and dual exhausts.

Oh yeah, I remember that too. A Holly double pumper 4bbl and Cherry Bomb Glasspack duallies.

Also don't forget the "6 pack", also known as "3 deuces" being 3 x 2 bbl carbs. I had a stock 61 Galaxie with that under the hood on a 390, what we called a "sleeper" because it looked like a regular sedan but put out 400HP. Those were the days...

Now days it would cost about $5.00 just to drive to the next gas station in that beast. I seem to remember calculating that I got about 6 miles per gallon, but back then gas was about .50 per gallon.

Or do please tell us again how that bright young Mr. Henry Ford fellow and yourself used to go out for weekend jaunts in one of his shiny new Model A horseless carriages!

Maybe, though it was also the brand name for a bolt-on prime mover for a bicycle.
