3rd, 5th and 7th Harmonics Analysis

I recommend that you start with an understanding of the mathematics of a Fourier transformation. In your study you should find that if you use a binary power of data samples (2ⁿ) that you can now perform a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). This will give you a grasp of what harmonic analyses are telling you and which assumptions must be taken to do an FFT analysis.

The easiest method is to use a Frequency Analyser instrument. The study material appears on the screen or, in some pieces of equipment, on a print-out as well.

PWSlack thanks and agree with you,I have to use Harmonics Analyser to know the actual distortion in frequency.

or I can use any software for harmonics simulation.but for that also we need to know all the non-linear loads in the network like AC drives,switchings,lightings etc which can produce harmonics.
