11/21/2010 2:01 PM

I have a 2006 Mazda3 its automatic , I got the code i know its po715 , my question is how much could that cost to repair? The problem started a week ago the CEL and AT light came on and the car started shifting funny ..I added fluids to the car I havent had any recent service done to the car ..I bought this car from a used car dealership and I havent had it a year yet would this fall under the lemon law?

OH NO! Your Mazda is showing a po715 code! That's the auto-destruct code. Some time in the near future something critical like your timing belt, transmission, ball joints or MP3 player is going to permanently fail. Bring this car quickly to a car dealership that can't translate this code and trade your vehicle in for anything. Do this before you and your family get subjected to the horror that awaits.

Nobody ever does ask for sarcasm. You obviously didn't search CR4 or use any other search engine to find an answer. You also did not ask an engineering question. You asked for a legal opinion and for a repair shop price quote without giving us a clue where you are. Depending on where you are it will certainly cost completely different amounts and types of money.

So this time I answered laziness with sarcasm. I'm glad you liked it.

Unlike Guest #6, I enjoyed the "smart ass remark or sarcasim" displayed in your post.

Understanding the subtlety of the usage of sarcasm (and it's cousin irony) requires second-order interpretation of the speaker's vocal inflections or intentions.

So, I guess he just don't get it!

If you're in Australia...

Could be 2 reasons -

1. The computer is giving the auto incorrect instructions - you'll need to sort out the electronics/fix PC (not sure how much that may cost)

2. The Auto has internal mechanical problems - take it to an auto transmission service centre (usually once "funny shifting" symptoms appear it will require a rebuild - prob $1500-$2000?)

I was to say in Australia it cost 120,- AU but now that it is proably there it will cost 450 Euro in France.

What I try to say is: How would a forum know how much it costs where ever you are?

Advice: take the car to three different workshops and have them do a proper quote and then decide.

turbine speed sensor fault,

may be sensor or may be wiring or computer, most often a trip to trans shop for close check with diag computer in circuit will prevent throwing parts at it until solved, break out the manual for circuit diagram,
