Centrifugal Separator

11/21/2010 8:16 PM

I am calculating the time interval of sediment discharge. The formula is given is t = V100.60/ pQ

t = theoretical maximum time in minutes bet 2 ejections

p = percent by volume of wet sediment in the process liquid

Q= throughput in dm3/hr

V= the sediment volume ( dm3)

how to get Q??

I think you can get Q from the manufacturer's specifications (gph, L/h, or whatever units); or measure with a flow meter in the line; or measure the amount of time to fill a known tank volume.
