System Integration

Hello,

I am currently working on a project. The Project deals with separate databases system/software. We have a data collector system which communicates wirelessly from machine to system and all d data's are stored in servers. However all this data's should be integrated to a software called as Prom to do modelling. Currently we are keying in every properties of modeling. Is there a way to link or to make Prom capture all the data directly from data collector system since both system is developed on different database platform? i got to know setting up a opc in between both system would solve the problem. is this true? and is there any alternative(s) to go about this???
