Autobend Press Brake Adjustment

12/05/2010 5:58 PM

Hi all

We have an old hydraulic Autobend 5C with a 60° punch and die and most of our bending is "air bending" to 90°, where the die rises to meet the punch. We have the problem of a bend angle variation from end to end.

Checking using a pair of parallels, we found a small gap variation between the upper and lower tools from end to end. We attempted to correct this by adjusting the wedges between the lower frame and die base. Despite over correcting, this made little difference and I think we need to reset the hydraulics. Has anyone any experience of doing this?

Tony

Hi all

Having written this I am told there is another set of wedges, in a different location, we need to adjust also. Anyone know the correct procedure?

Thanks Tony
