How to Protect Electrical Circuit from Reverse Power

in automatic change over system how to protect the circuit from reverse power,in case of failure of auxiliary contacts of contactor.

very common pratise we are using in DG connection i.e reverse power relay..you may consider this also if the circuit is sensative and heavy

Try some diodes in the circuit

If you are talking about an automatic transfer switch the sources are separated, there is no potential for reverse power.

its better to use reverse power relay if the circuit you consider is of heavy importance.
