OK - I can prob'ly knock something up for, say, $20 a hit. MOQ 2,000,000 off. 75% up front.

Sorry to be facetious, but you're in deep water here. If you have a twinkling of an idea, you need to:

  • explain exactly what you need the device to do
  • find someone who can work with you to turn your idea into something that will work, and do the circuit design
  • make some working prototypes
  • find someone who is prepared to stump up the cash to get enough of them made to make it a financially viable project

That's a brief idea of what needs to be done. You have a steep learning curve.

Ok that is much clearer. You obviously operate a very large organisation with large overheads which means i can not meet your minimum order requirements. Thanks for your time

Just to add to what you said John;

  • Make sure all market research has been completed prior to sending it off for batch production.

Re: audio module please (60 seconds)

Ok thanks for taking some time with me over this vague description. Like i said before i am drainage guy and have been for the past 8 years. I currently have 9 vans covering England and feel i have the skills to get the product out. I started my current business on a shoe string (£90). I will allocate 10k to this new venture, i am fully aware that my product will not make me millions!! it is more of a life style business. The reason i want to get up and running is so that my daughter can take care of it. she wants to go to universtiy in a few years, i think this would be a good way for her to fund it. Bondy i will give the link you posted a call monday, i am hopeful that they will cater for a smaller order at the right price. If not i will have to look at China however i would like to keep business in the country (every little helps) Thanks guys

As I said somewhere along the line, I was being a bit a lot facetious! - but you do have a lot of work to do before you can get anywhere near ordering production quantities.

Do you know anyone who can help turn your idea into a working prototype? Someone you can trust not to rip you off (either by overcharging you, or just stealing your idea)? That's your first hurdle.

Good luck.
