Wiki EIG

Dear friends,

Sometime ago i came across Wiki EIG which seemed interesting. i had shared this on CR4....http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/56443

A couple of days ago, i got a mail from this site, which asked me to answer a few questions. i did. In return, i was allowed to download the Electrical Installation Guide, 492 pages, ≈12MB in pdf format. A wealth of information i think, have just glanced through it. Maybe useful for some of CR4....

Dear kvsridhar,

I have also downloaded that. Still it refer to IEC 60439 standards. Actually this standard has been replaced with 61439 from january 2009. is any reason still schneider following the 60439???

i tried to get some info from some friends here, but they are also not aware why Schneider have not yet upgraded this one to 61439. Maybe they are waiting for all parts to be released (some due in 2011) ? Frankly, i have not studied the differences between the two...
