That depends largely on what your making. If your welding a tank then you might consider one method. If your butt welding two plates then there is another method. What are you trying to make?

For an example: I built a new fuel tank for one of my aircraft. Corners are radiused and welds are made 1/2" from corner in the flat area and butt welded. This allows for a very strong corner and will not flex stressing welds or base metals.

hi i want to weld corne by the v grove with 2 mm land & 60 to 70 deg v grove

& fillet weld from the inside (stich weld 50(75)) length of the weld is 3meter

is it a right process to do.......& design required flush corner, otherwise i will gave the extra 10 mm & fillet weld on the corner...please suggest
