Can we connect 11 KV Rectiformer to 11 KV Generator directly without using a transformer?

Both rating is 11KV, then for what we have to use transformer? Is it for isolation between both sides?

yes for isolation purpose and to avoid frequent tripping of turbine due to fault in dirstributor side

You alredy explained well what is the need/use of a isolation transformer, then why can't you try that.

a comparative is to made between requirement of transformer and cost of transformer. how to make that? what is the role of transformer between generator and distributor end if voltage level is not required to be changed?
