Where CT should be installed. Before or after Breaker? How does it work?

Generally after the breaker. For, if it is mounted before the breaker and if there is some fault within the breaker, even though the CT will sense this, whom will he send trip signal to, as the breaker itself is under fault.

talking about CT, do you have reference about kind of CT that can be like a clamp....?

because i want to install additional CT under the cubicle (at gland box), and the regulation need us to install that CT without shutdown the plan (wihout disconnect cables). my cubicle is 20 kV cubicle. and i have 2 x 1c x 240 sqmm each phase.

it should be installed on one lead after the breaker. it is ratio sized. example: 25:5 ct.
