VFD Drive Abnormality

A 11 Kw drive having no I/C and O/G choke. At full load, measured current before drive and after drive are 2A and 30A respectively, drive feeder is the outgoing feeder of a PMCC, incommer of this PMCC having capacitor bank for PF correction, is this abnormality because of capacitor bank or having no choke, please discussed the matter.

Please confirm if you are measuring currents at both I/C & O/G side of the VFD with a True RMS Ammeter. Measurement by conventional ammeters would be erratic, particularly at the O/G side of the VFD.

2A in and 30A out does seem abnormal; I wish I had a drive like that....
