Gas Turbine Atomising Air

01/20/2011 5:46 AM

I am part of the mechanical team handling Ge frame 9 gas turbine installation.this is my first job in this area.and i do need clarification on the relevance of Atomising air to gt using gas fuel.

I read a literature on AA and found out that with a gt using liquid fuel AA systems reduces stream of fuel entering each combustion chamber.and so help to establish flame and reduce smoke.but couldnt get anything on gts with fuel gas

can anyone help me on this?
