Pump with Pressure Differential Controller

01/26/2011 1:49 AM

I am looking for a pump (electric or diesel engine) with built-in differential pressure controller. I.e. pump with built-in controls to start-up and shut-down with pressure drop on the downstream pipeline.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Use a differential pressure transmitter, a trip-amplifier and a relay contact in the pump's starter circuit for the simplest solution. The transmitter and trip-amp will need a (typically) 24VDC power supply fed off whatever mains voltage is present at that location.

Application ! Application ! Application ! Your use would help. Fire system pumps are one application. See : http://iotaautomation.com/admin/upload/FM%20APPROVED%20FIRE%20PUMP.pdf
