Dear Engr_mohabbat, this is an entire other trade, - welders/boilermakers, - ask one. Having said that, there are basics, whether you are welding flat, up or down, inside a pipe, whether you are trying to build up the metal, adding a strengthening substance, joining with another substance, (ie stainless) what sort of steel are you welding to? what are the stresses this particular joint are to be subjected to, etc. A much more exact question for a particular situation I could help you with, otherwise you could be asking how to be a whatever. Good Luck, Geoff.

Dear Sir, if you're located in the United States please check out the American Welding Society (AWS) Welding Standards series for further clarity and references. Everything you need is in contained therein.

To even contemplate listing all of the requirements would fill volumes here and not enough time and space to post it all.

Good luck finding your answers!
