Standard Screen Sizes

Dear members, would you please advice me on a reference for standard sizes of perforated metal screen. (opening hole size).

It really depends on the application of the screen. Could be micron size, could be inch size.

Can you please describe the application in more detail.

the screen will be used for raw sewage strainer

I want to know different sizes available (micron/or inch) to select for the application

mentioned.

You should do a search for a "raw sewage strainer", then, after you know at least SOMETHING about the subject come back for help.

Can vary from about 6mm to 25mm. Maybe more for a preliminary screen, depends on job specifics.

Also important is the design - whether it's 1 dimension (bars) or 2 (mesh). Nowadays 2 dimensions is often specified as it does a better job. On a bar screen objects much larger than the nominal spacing can get through e.g. plastic backing strips from "feminine hygiene products" (to put it coyly!)
