Compression Molding

what all considerations are required for a new manufacturer who would like to produce rubber marine fender of about 400 kg weight with a mold of size 1.75x.5m through compression molding.the sp.gravity of rubber compound was found to be 1.25.what tonnage should the hydraulic press have?what is the specific pressure required?

Hire a consultant! Ask your equipment supplier. Do some research on your own. You have not even begun to supply meaningful information. Don't be so lazy.

From the equipment supplier part,i got the details of hydraulic press.the press tonnage is 800 ton.the platen size is 1200x2200mm.ram dia=320mm,no. of cylinders=4.what's the pressure and force requirement?
