How To Link Ms Office Dictionary Word Lookup ...

02/13/2011 9:10 AM

... to Works dictionary installed on same computer?

Hello:

I recently installed MSOffice2007 on Vista Utimate system with latest Works edition. Works dictionary is pretty good and user friendly, but late edition Office has no lookup dictionary access except when connected ... via the Internet.

Unfortunately, I do not have "always on" ISP/high-speed connection; and sometimes simply prefer the speed and safety of remaining and working "off-line."

At a minimum I need, if possible, that invoking word lookup in Office (Word, etc) will add a link to the Works Dictionary/Thesaurus program in addition to other sources in the Lookup pane, screen-right, in the open Office program. Whatever procedure will attain that will be sincerely appreciated.

Sincerly,

Dell-irous user.

In word 2003 it is under menus item tools\option. Click on custom dictionaries to link.

Not sure of 2007 but I bet is is similar
