You didn't mention checking the lamp. Most projector lamps have a very limited life; yours may be starting to fail.

Usbport is right, check the bulb, also check fans and blow out dust from any filters. I have also noticed a recurring problem with Digital Light Projection TVs, which work on a slightly different principle, but both use special lamps. Always purchase the exact replacement lamp, OEM. So many people have bought what they thought was an "exact replacement" lamp, only to have to buy the slightly more expensive OEM part, and pay a bench charge to boot. (Original Equipment Manufacturer, i.e., 'Osram', 'Phillips'.)

Have you checked the settings to assure the frequency setting is set to your country's electrical frequency, i.e. 50 Hz vs. 60 Hz.?
