Lotos LTP5000D Plasma Cutter

02/17/2011 11:47 AM

Hi,

I have been lurking here for awhile, lots of good info. This is my first post.

I recently ordered a Lotos LTP5000D Plasma Cutter and wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with one of these.

Thanks,

I have no experience with that plasma cutter, but I do have experience with a different equally priced one http://cr4.globalspec.com/blogentry/8086 although it was more the company not the product that turned me off to it.

The one you reference appears to be IGBT as opposed to Mosfets. I hope your experience with it is better than the experience I had with my plasma cutter.

I would be interested to hear how it works for you, more so after you have put it through its paces, as durability would be my main concern.

Thanks for your reply. I had read your blog about your Everlast. That was the reason I discarded them from my original search. Would be glad to let you know how this one turns out.
