G'day from the Philippines Ladies and Gents,
I am working on a project in the Philippines were blackouts or brownouts as they call them here are fairly regular. We are building a prototype air turbine driven system using Stamford generators from Newage AVK SEG Model BCI 16 with Permanent Magnet AVR model numbers MX341 for single phase connections and MX321 for 3 phase connections. Sorry I tried to paste the pdf but it doesn't seem to accept.
We are looking at a number of applications, residentially parallel mains/generator connections where excess power is fed back to the grid mostly single phase connections due to local wiring limitations but where possible we would like to use 3 phase. What is my best interface to connect to the grid to allow this? The Utility company has never done this but they are prepared to work with us as long as we do all the leg work.
The other applications would be either a direct 3 phase grid feed connection or a parallel single phase connection where no power is supplied to the property, the house would run off the grid and all power generated would be fed back to the grid. Here I am looking for the same information what kind of interface should I use?
I am concerned about both frequency and voltage fluctuations from the grid and they do not use an earth in the Philippines.
Thanks to all for your patience.
Regards,
Chris
