Fire Water Line Cathodic Protection

Hi, All

corrently doing design to built multi storey condo, our client had include to provide had cathodic protection for the fire water pipe line, from the 1st storey upto the roof top, before we decide to consult the CP contractor, i would to ask what is the best anode to protect the pipe from corrosion, this fire water line is gonna be fixing outside the building vertically up to the roof.

One cannot provide cathodic protection to a pipeline exposed to the atmosphere.

Hi all the link that you provide is only applicable to those structure mounted above the sea water, the application will work whever the sea water rise up, and not for pipe expose to atmosphere? Regard's nace engr

as CPguy said CP will work only if the metal is immersed in water or buried in soil..
