Ethernet CAT6 cable

Greetings

Please advice

If CAT6 ethernet cable can be direct buried under ground for less than 80 meter.

Are surge protectors required at both the end

Yes, you can direct bury if you purchase direct bury cable.

Surge suppressors could not hurt.

Try Google and enter "direct burial CAT 6 cable".

Cat6 is very high speed digital transmission cable. The equipment connected to it normally contains the static discharge protection. You are not qualified to add to that. Any such attempt would simply mess up the functioning of the cable.
