The rated burden of a CT or VT should be as close to but not less than the aggregate burden imposed by the current coils (for CTs) or the voltage coils (for VTs) of all the meters/relays/coils/instruments/devices, etc. connected to the secondaries of the CT or VT. You only need to know basic arithmatic.
